Next Steps

So we move on. Great work everyone! I hope you are having fun!

A change for this run. I am gonna start tracking loot to make sure everyone is getting a fair shake. The loot is going to be improving. Classic loot policy is:

One Set Piece - Not sure when these start dropping.
One Blue Need as determined by discussion. Just link your current piece and we will discuss. Lets work on keeping loot distribution fast.
If you see a green you need for an alt - speak up.

Basic Needs:

Plate - Diane
Leather - Andy
Spell Damage Cloth - John and Jerry
Healing Cloth - Me

Weapons are trickier...again look at your totals with respect to your spec. By 70 everyone needs some serious hit points. http://wow-loot.com/ has some good guiding information and a calculator.

Think about your current raiding spec and look at the gaps in your gear. Just because you could use something may not mean that you need it. Need should reflect the role you are playing in the guild.

I would prefer that ore and herbs get banked for later use. BC has lots of craftable epics that are pretty easy to make, once we are doing heroics bosses.

Sweet.

Another Great Run

Hey Hey,

We did it again. Although we got a late start and we had a couple close calls, all the bosses in this instance went down. I'm still forgetting to get screen shots at the bosses - meh -.

Next up, Mana Tombs.

I checked comments and found Andy had a conflict with next Thursday. Monday is a holiday so I don't think that will work. I've moved the next run to late night this Friday - Just use comments to indicate if you can't make it then. I'll keep moving it around until we find a slot. Depending on the sensibility of your partners - we can then take an 8 or 10 day break from raiding.

Difficulty is going to be taking another jump up as we face humanoid caster mobs. Everyone should be getting familiar with whatever crowd control you have - we will need it.

The Trashmobs of the Underbog

Underbats - Elite version of the common Sporebats found in Zangarmarsh. Have an AoE knockdown ability. Typically come in groups of 3-4 or with Underbog Shamblers. Can be polymorphed and trapped.

Underbog Shambler/Frenzy - Nature elementals which can afflict their target with a disease which inflicts nature damage the next 5 times that target takes damage. Also a Frenzy variety which enrage and deal increased damage. Can be banished and trapped. Shamblers heal themselves and others.

Bog Giants - Powerful giants with extremely damaging melee attacks. Can be picked with herbalism once killed. Immune to all forms of crowd control.

Fen Rays - Elite version of Marshfangs found in Zangarmarsh. Casts Psychic Horror, horrifies the target for 2 secs. Psychic Horror is targeted, not AoE, and is used only on the 2nd person on the aggro list. "The Fear Wards - they do nothing!". Of particular interest to hunters, as they are the only nether ray with normal stats. They can be both polymorphed, and hibernated by druids. In heroic mode, however, they can only be stunned. They automatically unstealth players by mere proximity, making stealth useless against any group that includes them.

Lykul Stinger/Wasp - Bee-type mobs which inflict a poison which deals minor nature damage. However, targets which are inflicted with poison from both a Wasp and Stinger take sharply increased damage. Cannot be polymorphed, but can be frost nova'd. Can both be trapped by hunters, and Wasps should be killed first in a mixed mob group due to their relative weakness and poisons. The poison can be interrupted or spellreflected.

Wrathfin Naga - Humanoid mobs which inflict a bleed that deals significant melee damage and cannot be dispelled. Can be sapped, polymorphed, trapped, and seduced. In Heroic, Wraithfin Sentry are immune to seduce but can still be sheeped.

Murkblood Lost Ones - Humanoid mobs Spearmen (flings spears and cast Viper Sting), Tribesmen, Oracles (casts Fireball) and Healers (casts Holy Light, Heal and Prayer of Healing}. Come in groups together. Healers will cast Prayer of Healing if left alone which will completely heal all nearby Murkbloods and Wrathfins and so should be killed first or crowd-controlled until last. The heal is interruptible.

Underbog Lord - Even more powerful Bog Giants, found before the final boss. Will start by hitting for 6-8k on plate in heroic mode, and must be dropped quickly as they grow in size and power over time. Immune to cc/slowdown, very large aggro radius. They have a kickback ability which hits for 6k on plate, so the MT must stand with his back against a wall. Build threat as fast as possible, healing threat is an issue here. This is a good place to use cds/trinkets (elixirs if you must), we found them to be harder than the bosses. After 4 "Bog Lord Grows in Size" emotes, they were hitting the MT for 10k, and crit our priest for 43k!

Underbog Quests

Underbog hosts four quests. However, three of these require the player to be at least friendly with the Sporeggar of Western Zangarmarsh. It is highly recommended you do so, before going into the instance, since they offer some very nice rewards and faction rep.

[65] Lost in Action Watcher Zhang (Coilfang Reservoir)

[65] Bring me a Shrubbery Gzhun'tt (Sporefoggen Village)

[65] Oh, It's On! T'shu (Sporefoggen Village)

[65] Stalk the Stalker Khn'nix (Sporefoggen Village)
